Thank you for your interest in The Injury Prevention Coalition (IPC) of Lee County. We, as a coalition, have been working to prevent injuries in Lee County since 1995 under the auspices of the Lee County Health Department. Today our group is comprised of more than 80 different health and safety agencies and experts. The coalition is a multi-disciplinary cooperative of private and public partners that include fire and rescue agencies, emergency medical services, law enforcement agencies, hospital outreach programs, health agencies, and public and private schools. This strong network allows us to partner with each other to reach the greatest number of individuals, efficiently use limited resources, and deliver consistent, unified, safety messages to the public.

As one of the oldest coalitions in the county, you will see our members attending most local health and safety fairs, participating on policy making bodies, and educating the community on injury prevention issues. Lee County has been one of the fastest growing regions in the nation and is also an active vacation destination, so we have the addition challenges of identifying and reducing injuries to temporary residents, as well as those here to recreate.

We hope you will enjoy browsing these pages and learn from the many agency experts who provide its content. If you wish to join the many other passionate members of our coalition, you are invited to attend our standing meeting held the third Wednesday of each month at the J.P. D’Alessandro Building, Room 165D, 2295 Victoria Avenue, Fort Myers, FL 33901.
