WELCOME

The Lee County Injury Prevention Coalition has been working to prevent injuries in Lee County since 1995 under the auspices of the Lee County Health Department. Today the group is comprised of more than 80 different health and safety agencies and experts. The coalition is a multi-disciplinary cooperative of private and public partners that include fire and rescue agencies, emergency medical services, law enforcement agencies, hospital outreach programs, health agencies, and public and private schools. This strong partnership provides increased resources, efficiency, and consistent delivery of unified safety messages to the public.

As one of the oldest coalitions in the county, you will see our members attending most local health and safety fairs, participating on policy making bodies, and educating the community on injury prevention issues. Lee County has been one of the fastest growing regions in the nation and is also an active vacation destination, so we have the addition challenges of identifying and reducing injuries to temporary residents, as well as those here to recreate.

The Lee County Injury Prevention Coalition meets the third Wednesday of every month at the Lee County Public Safety Building. For more information, please contact Syndi Bultman, R.N., M.S., CEN, Chairperson, Lee County Injury Prevention Coalition at 239-343-3797 or syndi.bultman@leememorial.org.
